Is Taskending really free?
Yes. Taskending is currently free and no credit card is required to create a company. External Codex or AI provider accounts and usage charges are separate.
Can I use it instead of Jira?
You can use boards, sprints, priorities, worklogs and customer requests. Taskending does not offer all Jira features: advanced SLAs, SSO and a one-click Jira importer are not available. Start with a small team pilot.
Can customers create requests?
Yes. Invited customers create and follow their own requests in the portal. Your application can submit requests using a project-scoped API key. Email intake requires a separate Gmail bridge setup.
Can other companies see our work?
Company workspaces are separated through membership and permission checks. Customers see their own requests, and internal team notes are hidden from them.
How does AI assistance work?
The MCP connection lets an authorized team member read and update their work through clients such as Codex. AI output requires a configured provider. Review AI results before using them.
