Search and keyboard shortcuts in Taskending

You do not need to remember which board contains an issue. Search and stable issue keys offer a shorter route to the right context.

How to apply it

Open search with Ctrl K, or Command K on a Mac. The / key also opens search when you are not typing into a text field. Enter an issue key or a distinctive part of the title. Check the project and key after opening a result because different issues can share a title.

A concrete example

If a teammate says “The verification result for WEB-24 is ready”, search that key. A broad term such as “report” may match many records; “date filter” is more selective. Search takes you to a record, while view filters narrow the work shown in a particular list.

What to watch for

Do not assume that pressing K alone creates an issue. The shortcut described here opens search; New issue creates a record. A slash typed inside a description should remain ordinary text.

How to check the outcome

Try the shortcut both inside and outside a text field. Check keyboard focus, the destination issue and the absence of work you are not permitted to access.

Try it in your own workflow.

Create a company workspace and your first issue. Taskending is currently free.
