Connect Taskending work to an AI client with MCP

MCP gives an AI client access to issue context through authorized tools. It does not mean unlimited authority over all company data.

How to apply it

Use the supported Taskending MCP setup for your client’s connection method. Choose the authorized user and required scope. Begin with read-only access to assigned work and a single issue. Verify writes through small, explicitly described changes.

A concrete example

You can ask Codex to read WEB-24 and propose an implementation plan. A person reviews the result. If the client will write a comment or change status, specify the exact record and intended change.

What to watch for

External AI accounts and provider charges are separate from free Taskending access. Issue context is shared with the client, so follow company data rules. Do not assume the AI knows fields the tool did not return.

How to check the outcome

Unauthorized projects should remain inaccessible and permitted actions should affect the intended record. Start verification with a small synthetic example.
