Deliver earlier with vertical slices
Large tasks split only by technical layer may produce no visible outcome for a long time. A vertical slice completes a small user flow end to end.

How to apply it
Define the smallest usable result first. Preserve the main goal in Taskending and create a separate issue or child issue for that result. Clarify design, data and verification within the slice. Link later extensions as separate work.
A concrete example
Instead of waiting for every report screen and API to be complete, make the date filter work for one report type. Expand to other types afterward. The first example lets you test assumptions earlier.
What to watch for
A small slice does not justify omitting security or verification. The delivered path still needs its required controls. Keep necessary infrastructure work visible as well.
How to check the outcome
Can each slice be demonstrated and checked independently? If not, the split may only mirror technical departments rather than a user outcome.
