Why the inbox and email notifications differ

The application inbox and email are separate delivery channels. An email failure should not imply that the in-app event also disappeared.

How to apply it

Use the Taskending inbox for relevant assignment, status and activity records. Configure email preferences separately. A notification should lead to work you are authorized to see; access is reevaluated when company or project membership changes.

A concrete example

An assignment can appear in the inbox while provider limits or an email preference prevent a message from arriving. Inspecting the inbox first and delivery status second separates the two concerns.

What to watch for

Sending every company event to everyone would make the inbox unusable. Relevance, access and email delivery are different conditions. Old mail-queue records are not automatically new inbox notifications.

How to check the outcome

Verify a small authorized example reaches the right person and issue. Do not interpret missing email alone as a lost task.
